June SUV Scenic Drive: It’s a Dirty Job and we are going to do it!
June 18 @ 8:30 am - 2:00 pm
Join us for the fifth SUV drive of 2022. We will start our drive in Hillsboro and make a loop through Scappoose, Vernonia and Banks ending with a picnic lunch at Metro’s newly opened Chehalem Ridge Nature Park near Gaston. We have developed a route that takes us over less traveled roads some of which are bumpy, gravel or dirt. There is no point in showing up with a clean SUV for this drive.
There will be one group with a maximum of 14 SUV’s. We will meet at 8:30am, have a participants safety meeting at 8:45 am and depart at 9:00 am.
A volunteer is needed for the sweep role during the drive. If you are interested, please sign up during the registration process.
Registration will close on Wednesday, June 15 at 7:00pm.
- The “Release and Waiver of Liability” will be available to sign at the start of the drive.
- Registration is by car. Each driver must register their car. If you have a navigator, you will register that person at the same time. If you don’t have a navigator, just mark the navigator questions as NA. Please see registration at the bottom of this page.
- Attendance is limited to 14 cars.
- The start location and a printable PDF file of Route Directions and Scenic Navigation App access will be provided a day before the event to all registrants. Please do not share this information with anyone else. Please check your SPAM folder if you do not get an email from Bob Ellis by 5:00pm the day before the event.
