SUMMARY:Drive to Brothers Collection
DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by RiPitt Race\, LLC\, just across the street from Café 22\, the drive starts with fresh-roasted coffee\, tea\, fresh donuts and such\, water\, juice\, and other beverages. After social hour and safety meeting\, the drive will head west on 22\, then quickly turn north on Oak Grove—as soon as you turn onto Oak Grove\, you are in the backroads of Salem’s West Hills.  From there\, we will weave our way through vineyards\, farmland\, cattle farms\, and others. Eventually\, we will enter Dallas via Perrydale Road\, where we will break.   \nBackroads will bring us to Falls City Hwy. After ascending and descending and crisscrossing\, we will end up crossing the river at Independence and weave our way through the S Salem Hills to end at Flight Deck. The Brothers car collection is half mile from the restaurant.   \nSee photos from last year. Volunteers will be needed for Leads and Sweeps. Please volunteer when you register\, if you are able and willing to accept the responsibilities. \nGeneral Information about this Event: \nRegistration is by car. Each driver must complete the data collection in the registration form. If you have a navigator\, please register that person at the same time. If you don’t have a navigator\, just mark the navigator question as N/A. \nThe start location\, time\, description of Digital Navigation Support as well a printable PDF file of Driving Directions will be provided two days before the event to all registrants. DESCRIPTION:The Brothers Collection in Salem\, Oregon\, is an immense\, private museum housing over 600 rare muscle cars\, exotic sports cars\, and unique classics\, considered one of the world’s most comprehensive collections\, featuring iconic vehicles like Shelby Mustangs\, ZL1 Camaros\, and Ferraris\, though it’s generally not open to the public\, requiring special event access or private tours. \nThis is your chance to visit this amazing car collection! \nKey Aspects:\n\nVast & Rare: Features hundreds of meticulously restored vehicles\, focusing heavily on the muscle car golden age (late ’60s/early ’70s) but also including rare European exotics and Corvettes.\nPrivate & Exclusive: Housed in a large warehouse\, it’s kept secret from the general public\, with owners’ identities protected\, making visits rare.\nSpecial Access: You can only see it during specific charity events or private group tours\, often organized through car clubs like the Porsche Club of America (PCA) or Hot Rod magazines.\nContent Highlights: Includes original 1970 Chevelle SS LS6\, rare Pontiac Trans Am convertibles\, Yenko Camaros\, Hemi Mopars\, Shelby GT350s\, Ferraris\, and even unique builds like a Merlin-engine Chevy.\nNotable Cars:\n\nFour of the eight 1969 Pontiac Trans Am convertibles ever produced.\nA 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spyder valued at roughly $8 million.\nOne of only four 1966 Shelby Mustang GT350 convertibles.\nExtensive rows of rare Corvettes\, Hemi ‘Cudas\, and Yenkos.\n\n\nMemorabilia: The warehouse also houses a massive collection of original vintage neon dealership signs and automotive memorabilia.\n\nAccess and Ownership \n\nPublic Access: The museum is not open to the public on a daily basis. Access is strictly limited to private group tours or high-profile charity events.\nCharity: 100% of proceeds from ticketed events are donated to local Oregon charities\, such as SafeSleep United\, Shop with a Cop\, and the Oregon Police Officers Association.\nOwners: The collection is owned by the Colson family\, specifically brothers Barton and Bradley Colson\, who made their fortune in the retirement community industry.
