SUMMARY:Tech Session @ Drive Collective
DESCRIPTION:Hey Everyone\, \nWe are finishing up the year with a timely Tech Session event at the recently opened Drive Collective. This may be the Tech Session you’ve been waiting for! \nWhether we admit it or not\, we are always “sideways looking” for that perfect car deal. But what can we do if we find our team ride but our 4-wheeled desire exceeds our storage space? Should we consider building another garage\, another house\, or move to a mega garage home for our dream cars? Here is a possible answer that may be a more affordable alternative to the above options. \nMeet David Fosberg\, owner of Drive Collective in Tualatin\, Oregon. \nDavid will talk to us and discuss services he can provide and tasks you can do for your car(s) in your garage. \nPart #1 \nWhat preps should be considered before your car is put to bed for short-term or for winter? These are preps that you can do in your garage? Mechanical preparations Battery charging/Float charging Status of tire pressure Car finish preparations options Routine monthly status check of your vehicle while in storage\, \nPart #2 \nAs an alternative plan\, you could let Drive Collective take on the responsibilities for you. Some highlights that will be shown: Drive Collective is an in-one\, all-in-one storage service. This is a large\, clean\, climate-controlled facility with an extensive security system in place. You can set up drop-off\, or switch cars\, or take cars out by a phone app provided when you become a member. \nCars will be ready to drive\, clean (even has a detail service in the facility)\, and tested monthly to start. Your vehicle will be wiped interior and out as well as in preparation for requested pickup and routine monthly interior/exterior wipe to keep it all very clean. There are lots more of Professional Advantage if it suits your needs. \nPlease look at their website and see all that is provided: https://pdxdrivecollective.com/ \nLarge club room to gather and perhaps start our drive events from here. \nAlso announcing James Vaughn will be your new Chair for the 2027 Tech Sessions. Please welcome Jim. I’ll still be in the background helping when needed. \n– Tosh

SUMMARY:Driven - Women Who Take the Wheel
DESCRIPTION:Tickets can be purchased at: \nhttps://luma.com/driven-women-who-take-the-wheel \n\nWelcome to DRIVEN: Women Who Take The Wheel\, an intimate\, curated gathering blending exceptional automotive design and heritage\, art\, live music\, Oregon wine\, and the November harvest. Rather than a conventional gala or panel discussion\, DRIVEN is designed as an immersive evening where remarkable women\, their stories\, and their accomplishments become part of the experience. \nAt the heart of the evening is “Por-She\,” Dr. Phyllis Yes’s iconic lace-clad 1967 Porsche 911S\, presented as both automobile and work of art. Phyllis will share the remarkable story of the car and its journey before Por-She moves into its next museum chapter. \nHarvest is the setting. DRIVEN is the story: automobiles\, art\, Oregon wine\, culinary craft\, and hospitality\, brought together for an evening honoring women who choose direction\, take the wheel\, and change what comes next. \nThroughout the evening\, guests will meet and hear from an extraordinary group of women who have taken the wheel in art\, business\, motorsports\, wine\, food\, and community leadership. \nDRIVEN will also recognize women whose leadership embodies the spirit of taking the wheel\, including Karen Feiner\, owner of Porsche Beaverton and Porsche Studio Portland\, whose partnership and generous contribution of Porsche Studio Portland provide the setting for this special evening. \nFrom a champagne welcome and the presentation of Por-She to live music\, a November harvest dinner\, premier Oregon wines\, and personal stories shared throughout the evening\, DRIVEN is designed to feel less like a program and more like a beautifully composed experience. \nProudly benefiting the OHSU Center for Women’s Health\, DRIVEN: Women Who Take The Wheel celebrates female agency\, creativity\, entrepreneurship\, and leadership while creating meaningful support for women’s health in Oregon. A percentage of proceeds will benefit OHSU Center for Women’s Health. \n\n\nORPCA has been invited to participate in the event and I have been invited to speak at the event along with Phyllis Yes (creator of Por-She art car) and Karen Finer of Porsche Beaverton. \n\nHere’s a story about Phyllis and Por-She\nhttps://www.caranddriver.com/news/a73379338/1967-porsche-911s-art-car-dr-yes-bring-a-trailer/

DESCRIPTION:Ticket sales will open Saturday 10/24 at 7 am.  \n✨ It’s time to celebrate! ✨\n \nJoin us Saturday\, December 5th at Portland Golf Club for an evening filled with good food\, good friends\, and holiday magic. \nWe’ll start the evening with appetizers\, no-host cocktails\, and time to mingle followed by an elegant three course dinner with table wine served with dinner.  Our slide show will help us take a look back at some of the highlights and memorable moments from 2026. We’ll also give you a sneak peek at what’s ahead for the club in 2027. \nAfter dinner\, it’s time to turn up the music! 🎶 Our live band\, Pina Colada\, from Bend\, Oregon will take the stage playing upbeat 1970s and 1980s feel-good jams and classic yacht rock.  So bring your dancing shoes and get ready to celebrate the season with your Porsche friends. \nIt’s the perfect way to wrap up another great year together. Dress up\, enjoy the festivities\, raise a glass\, and let’s make it a night to remember! \nWe hope you’ll join us for a little holiday cheer\, a lot of fun\, and a great big celebration of our club and the people who make it so special. 🎄✨ \n  \n \n🎁GIVE BACK: Our club is continuing its long standing tradition of supporting underserved children by collecting toys for local children at our annual holiday party. \nEach year\, Toys for Tots collects new\, unwrapped toys and helps make Christmas a little brighter for children whose families may not have the means to provide gifts for them. \nAs we celebrate the holiday season together\, we invite our members to come together in a big way and make a difference through our Toys for Tots outreach. \nWays to give for Toys for Tots: \n\nWhen registering for the holiday party\, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase Toys for Tots tickets\, with proceeds going directly toward purchasing toys for this wonderful cause.\nYou may choose to purchase toys or gift certificate through our Amazon registry and the Gasparitsch’s will deliver the toys the night of the event.  Please purchase gift certificates before Thanksgiving so we can shop the sales.  Otherwise\, Amazon shopping closes on November 30 to be delivered by December 4 in order to be delivered to the Marines at the Gala.\nIf you’d prefer to shop local for toys yourself\, you may do so and bring unwrapped toys the night of the event.\nUnable to attend?   If you’re unable to attend the holiday party\, but want to participate in this worthy cause\, you may purchase Toys for Tots tickets or purchase through the Amazon link.\n\n  \nYour hosts: ORPCA Social Events Committee \nEvent Stats: \nLocation: Portland Golf Club 5900 SW Scholls Ferry Road in Southwest Portland \nParking: PARKING and ENTRANCE\nDrive up and park with ease.  Onsite parking is available.   Doors open at 5:45 pm.  We kindly ask for your cooperation\, as arriving before 5:45 pm means you will need to wait outside until the doors open. \nHOTEL option near the PGC\nIf you’d like to avoid the longish drive home after the party\, try the Embassy Suites near Washington Square\, just under 2 miles from the PGC. \nRegistration Information: \nRegistration will open October 24 at 7 am for Special advance priced tickets. \nTickets\nAdvanced Ticket Pricing:  $120\nAfter November 5 Regular Ticket Pricing: $135 \nGeneral Information about this Event: \nAdvanced ticket sales kick off on Saturday\, October 24 at 7 am\, with prices increasing on November 6.
