SUMMARY:To the Coast We Go #2
DESCRIPTION:This is a scenic back roads midweek drive loaded with twisty curves and multiple spirited driving opportunities!  \nWe leave from Ava Roasteria Progress Ridge through Scholls on Hwy 219\, up over Bald Peak\, and connect to Spring Hill Road to Hwy 47. The route takes us through Banks\, Vernonia\, and on through Jewell using the Nehalem Hwy and Hwy 202. \nAfter about 130 miles\, we hit Hwy 101 for a short jaunt to the Gearhart Hotel where lunch will be enjoyed. NOTE: If we have temps under 40°\, winter tires are recommended as there are two spots that hit 1\,500 ft. All makes welcome! \nEvent Organizer: Mark McGirr \nEvent Stats:\nNumber of Groups: To be determined\nTotal Miles: 133\nTotal Drive Time: 3.5 hours \nDigital Navigation Support: \nRidewithGPS link will be provided to attendees with Driving Directions. \nRegistration Information:  \nRegistration will open on January 21 at 7:00 a.m. and close on February 13 at 5:00 p.m. Volunteers will be needed for Leads and Sweeps. Please volunteer when you register\, if you are able and willing to accept the responsibilities. \nGeneral Information about this Event: \nRegistration is by car. Each driver must complete the data collection in the registration form. If you have a navigator\, please register that person at the same time. If you don’t have a navigator\, just mark the navigator question as N/A. \nThe start location\, time\, description of Digital Navigation Support as well a printable PDF file of Driving Directions will be provided two days before the event to all registrants.
