SUMMARY:Washington Wandering
DESCRIPTION:Our first SUV drive for 2026 is a leisurely scenic tour that travels over fully paved backroads passing through Felida\, Ridgefield\, La Center\, Yacolt\, and Amboy. We will start at the Hazel Dell Safeway\, stop to view the Zylstra Farm Carvings\, have a brief rest stop at Holly Park in LaCenter\, and tour past the Historic Grist Mill and Covered Bridge with an end destination for lunch at the Fargher Lake House Restaurant. I expect about two hours of driving time covering 70 miles. \nThe roads used in this route are all lower than 800 feet in elevation; however\, if the winter weather conditions are such that driving conditions are unsafe\, the drive will be cancelled. \nEvent Organizer: Bob Ellis \nEvent Stats:\nNumber of Groups: 1 group of 12 cars\nTotal Miles: 73\nTotal Drive Time: 2.5 hours \nDigital Navigation Support: \nRidewithGPS link will be provided to attendees with Driving Directions. \nRegistration Information:  \nRegistration is open and close on January 19 at 5:00 p.m. Volunteers will be needed for Leads and Sweeps. Please volunteer when you register\, if you are able and willing to accept the responsibilities. \nGeneral Information about this Event: \nRegistration is by car. Each driver must complete the data collection in the registration form. If you have a navigator\, please register that person at the same time. If you don’t have a navigator\, just mark the navigator question as N/A. \nThe start location\, time\, description of Digital Navigation Support as well a printable PDF file of Driving Directions will be provided two days before the event to all registrants.
