DESCRIPTION:The famous Snake ‘n’ Bake Tour is in its third year! \nJim Goetsch and Valerie Menely will lead this year’s tour\, with the blessing of the tour’s creators\, Randy and Diane Homes. \nJoin Jim and Valerie on one of the ORPCA’s iconic 3-day driving tours\, featuring (in the words of Randy Homes) “the finest driving roads in the Pacific Northwest!” \nThe tour winds its way through rural Central and Eastern Oregon (and even a touch of Idaho!)\, ultimately traveling to the Hell’s Canyon Dam on the Snake River. \nLodging for both nights will be at the Geiser Grand Historic Hotel in Baker City. \nThese 2 destinations\, the Snake River and Baker City\, gave rise to the tour’s name. \nThis tour is a delight for experienced drivers. Snake ‘n’ Bake covers a lot of ground in only 3 days\, and promises gorgeous scenery\, a generous supply of twists and turns\, and the chance to exercise your favorite Porsche on some lightly-traveled roads. \nTour dates: May 28-30\, 2026 \nTour size: 17 total vehicles\, up to 34 participants \nCost per participant: $265.00 \nThe cost includes an Hors d’oeuvres reception on the first evening\, plated dinners for both nights\, and gratuities for both meals. Expect a blend of open highways\, sweeping mountain passes\, wide desert straights\, and unforgettable twisty sections—all with stunning scenery around every bend. \nAlong the way\, there will be countless opportunities for photo stops\, moments of relaxation\, and shared camaraderie with fellow enthusiasts. Our first night will be spent in Bend\, where we’ll stay along the beautiful Deschutes River and enjoy an award-winning group dinner. \nCheck into the hotel. 1st Night: River House Lodge\, Bend OR \n5-6:30 pm: Hosted Bar \n6:30 pm: Group Dinner \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay 3: Wednesday 7/15/26 – Bend to Silvies Valley Ranch\n\n\n\n From Bend\, we head east through dramatic high desert landscapes to Silvies Valley Ranch—an all-inclusive five-star resort. While golf\, spa treatments\, and horseback riding are available for personal enjoyment (not included in registration)\, the highlight will be our group meals and evening together at this unique destination. 2nd Night: Silvies Valley Ranch\, Seneca OR \n5-6 pm: Hosted Bar. \n6-8 pm: Group Dinner. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay 4: Thursday 7/16/26 – Scenic South-Eastern Loop\n\n\n\n We will set out on an unforgettable day drive toward the Idaho border\, climbing and descending a spectacular mountain pass before circling back to Silvies. The evening  is yours to enjoy the resort’s spa\, pool\, or a fireside chat with fellow drivers before another fine dinner. 3rd  Night: Silvies Valley Ranch\, Seneca OR \n5-6 pm: Hosted Bar. \n6-8 pm: Group Dinner. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay 5: Friday 7/17/26 – Painted Hills and Farewell\n\n\n\n On our final day\, we’ll head north through Oregon’s rugged outback and past the Painted Hills. \nAfter lunch we offer two routes back to Portland: a shorter route through Condon and Wasco to I-84 \,and a longer and more windy one through Fossil and Antelope\, around Mt.
