What to Expect
Multi-day tours are typically drives with an overnight stop. Usually these are done over a weekend. These tours are varied and provide lots of fun. Registration is required and tours usually sell out quickly. If you want to join one of these, watch for the weekly email for the Registration opening.
The Northwest Passage is a special multi-day tour, done once a year, that runs for three to five days. Traditionally held during the summer months, this event is a combination of spirited driving on some of the best back roads in the Northwest, wonderful food, excellent wines, and accommodations at great hotels. This event includes a route book, a commemorative prize, and great company. Participants get to enjoy their Porsche for what it was designed and built to do: Perform and handle well on challenging back country roads. This event opens in December and fills up in a week. It is usually announced at the Holiday Party – another good reason to attend that party!
Tours often require a fee per car. In addition to the attendance fee there will be additional cost for hotels and meals. Read the description of the tour for details.
Tours have a mandatory waiver form that must be signed prior to departure, followed by a required participant meeting. At that meeting, the tour leader will explain the safety rules, will distribute the driving instructions, explain the tour directions and point out items that need special attention. Depending on the tour there may be driving groups with group leaders and sweeps.
Check individual tour details as these are announced. If you have general questions about tours, email Eric: Tours@oregonpca.org
