SUMMARY:September After Work Drive
DESCRIPTION:Come close out the 2026 evening after-work driving season with an enjoyable 63-mile scenic drive through some of Washington County’s best back roads.  \nWe’ll begin at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge\, just south of King City\, then wind through the valleys around Bald Peak before climbing over Parrett and Pete’s Mountains. SUMMARY:Along the Mighty Columbia — Scappoose to Ilwaco
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a gentle September tour following the Columbia River from Scappoose\, Oregon\, to the waterfront in Ilwaco\, Washington. \nWe’ll gather at the Fred Meyer in Scappoose before heading north on Highway 30 through Rainier and across the Lewis and Clark Bridge at Longview. Shortly after crossing into Washington\, we’ll take our first break—and invite Porsche friends from the greater Vancouver\, Kalama\, Longview\, and Chehalis areas to join the tour there. \nFrom Longview\, we’ll turn west onto Washington’s Lewis and Clark Highway (SR 4)\, following the mighty Columbia toward the Pacific. It is a lovely stretch of river\, forest\, small communities\, and sweeping views as we make our way to Ilwaco. \nLunch in Ilwaco\nRather than trying to seat the entire club at one restaurant\, we’ll finish near the Ilwaco waterfront\, where participants can break into smaller groups and explore the local pubs\, cafés\, and restaurants. DESCRIPTION:Our September SUV drive will be avoiding the very unfortunate situations east of the Cascades\, and instead take us into the SW Trask & Siuslaw Forests before our short crossing of the Willamette on the Wheatland Ferry\, and on to our destination town of Mt Angel. Our start location will be at Ava Roasteria in Beaverton\, for some early coffee and snacks. Final destination in Mt Angel will be selected as we get closer to the event.
