SUMMARY:Waterfalls to Wheatfields
DESCRIPTION:We start at the Columbia River Gorge\, climbing through Corbett to Vista House before dropping into the rhythm of the Historic Columbia River Highway. Waterfalls\, cliff roads\, and river views carry us to the Bridge of the Gods\, where we cross into Washington and open things up on Highway 14—faster\, wider\, and a good stretch for the cars before we turn inland. \nThe Klickitat River Highway is the driver’s section: elevation changes\, technical curves\, and canyon transitions that demand attention and reward clean lines. We emerge into high desert\, rolling wheatfields\, and big sky as we descend through Biggs Junction and Wasco back to the Columbia. The day ends at Bargeway Pub—good company\, cold drinks\, and plenty to debrief. \nEvent Organizer: Daniel Morris \nEvent Stats: \nNumber of Groups: 4 groups of 8\nTotal Miles: 165\nTotal Drive Time: 4 hours \nDigital Navigation Support: \nRidewithGPS link will be provided to attendees with Driving Directions. \nRegistration Information:  \nRegistration will close on May 4 at 5:00 p.m. Volunteers will be needed for Leads and Sweeps. Please volunteer when you register\, if you are able and willing to accept the responsibilities. \nGeneral Information about this Event: \nRegistration is by car. Each driver must complete the data collection in the registration form. If you have a navigator\, please register that person at the same time. If you don’t have a navigator\, just mark the navigator question as N/A. \nThe start location\, time\, description of Digital Navigation Support as well a printable PDF file of Driving Directions will be provided two days before the event to all registrants.
