July Casual Sunday Drive – Fruit Loop

Join us for a casual 125-mile Sunday drive through some of Oregon’s most scenic backroads, rivers, and mountain passes, finishing with lunch beneath the slopes of Mt. Hood.

Departure: 9:00 a.m.

Route Highlights:

  • Start at the End of the Oregon Trail
  • Follow the Clackamas River through Estacada via OR-224
  • Stop at Ripplebrook for a short break
  • Continue along the winding forest roads of FS-46 and FS-42
  • Cross through Blue Box Pass
  • Proceed via Highway 26 toward Mt. Hood
  • Photo stop at White River Park
  • Finish at Cooper Spur for lunch and refreshments

This is a relaxed-paced drive focused on enjoying the scenery, great roads, and good company. Expect beautiful river views, dense forest, mountain vistas, and plenty of opportunities for photos along the way.

Estimated arrival at Cooper Spur: 1:00 p.m. Bring a full tank of fuel, a camera, and your appetite. Looking forward to a great day on the road!

Registration Information:

Registration will close on July 13 at 5:00 p.m. Volunteers will be needed for Leads and Sweeps. Please volunteer when you register, if you are able and willing to accept the responsibilities.

General Information about this Event:

Registration is by car. Each driver must complete the data collection in the registration form. If you have a navigator, please register that person at the same time. If you don’t have a navigator, just mark the navigator question as N/A.

The start location, time, description of Digital Navigation Support as well a printable PDF file of Driving Directions will be provided two days before the event to all registrants. Please check your Spam folder if you do not see an email with the directions within 24 hours of the event.

Each Participant (Driver and Navigator) is required to sign the “Release and Waiver of Liability” at the start of the drive.

We encourage all participants to take pictures and share the pictures either on our social media sites or upload them to our photo repository using the link provided with the driving directions.
