Northwest Passage 2018 – FULL

The ORPCA Northwest Passage is celebrating its 20th year!

This year's tour features new roads never ventured on by the tour as we explore southern Oregon and northern California. From beautiful rivers and mountains, to high plains, to volcanic landscapes, this year's Northwest Passage Tour will be a great drive as well as a feast for the eyes.

Arrive and Drive – Saturday, July 7

The 2018 Arrive and Drives continue on Saturday, July 7, and then every second Saturday of each month until October (it's the first Saturday this month because of the Rose Cup/Pirelli World Challenge the following weekend and there is not one in August because of the Summer Picnic).

Enjoy some of the best driving roads in the five-county area. Each drive is roughly 60 to 100 miles in length and finishes in under three hours (unless otherwise noted). You have an option to join the group for lunch. These are a great way to kick off the weekend and a fun way for new members to get acquainted with ORPCA.

To attend, bring your favorite Porsche (with plenty of fuel) and ideally, a navigator, to our start location at Starbucks Wood Village at 22352 NE Park Lane Wood Village, OR 97060 no later than 8:45am. Driver’s meeting takes place at 9:00am. With an average of 40 to 50 cars, we often try to break into smaller groups rather than doing one long convoy. The first group of cars will depart at around 9:15am.

NOTES: Important information about liability waivers

Porsche Club of America has an insurance program that covers both the club and the participants for events such as this one.  In order for this coverage to be in force all participants, drivers and passengers must sign the Release and Waiver of Liability form that will be available at the event. For those who bring a minor/or minors (younger than 18 years old) in the vehicle with you, a different waiver is required. The form, WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT FOR MINORS AS OBSERVERS will also be available at the event. This form requires the signature of a parent or guardian, as well as the participant.

The Waiver Form for Minors as Observers may be signed by the parents/guardians away from the actual event site and presented to an ORPCA official at the event, however the participant MUST sign it in front of an event official.  Go to: Minor Waiver Form - Observers and print this out in color as there are highlights in red. Have the parents/Guardians sign it before coming to the event.

Autocross #5

Autocross #5 will be held Sunday, July 8, 2018 in the South Paddock of Portland International Raceway. See the section "Access to the South Paddock" below for directions to this area.

Event Fees: For ORPCA/PCA members the cost is $36.00. For non-members the cost is $41.00.

Registration: Autocross team has selected Motorsportsreg.com for the registration tool this year. There is no walk up registration. Please click here to register and pay for this event. Note: Participation is limited to 60 drivers.

All drivers must go to Onsite Check-in at the time of arrival at the paddock for car number verification, run group and work assignment. Onsite Check-in opens at 7:30am. Instructors and loaner helmets are available for new drivers.

Once you have checked in and the course is complete, you can walk the course. The course is open for walking when the design committee releases it; generally around 8:00am.

At 8:45am there is a mandatory Drivers meeting and the first car runs at 9:00am.

Access to the South Paddock: Enter through the PIR main gate and follow the PCA Autocross signs. The map below shows the location of the main entrance and the South Paddock, but the route may vary from the one shown. Follow the autocross signs to the South Paddock where you will sign waivers before the event.

Rose Cup Races Featuring Pirelli World Challenge – Porsche Corral

The 58th Annual Rose Cup Races featuring the Pirelli World Challenge! Professional Road Racing returns to Portland International Raceway (PIR) with North America's top GT production based sports car series! 26 different manufacturers and 44 separate models in four race groups and seven classes. Joining Pirelli World Challenge is a showcase of the finest amateur Road Racers in the Pacific Northwest with four amateur race groups.
The Professional Aerial League returns with 3 exciting days of drone racing action. These Drone Races will feature top pro pilots from Portland and around the Northwest racing through an obstacle course setup inside PIR auto racetrack during the Pirelli World Challenge. The Drone Race area will also have a number of drone-related entertainment and educational activities going on throughout the weekend. These include freestyle drone aerobatics airshows, drone educational zone and a first person view fan zone where spectators will be able to "virtually" ride along with pro pilots during racing action. There will also be opportunities to meet professional pilots and a vendor area to purchase racing drones and drone accessories.

Non-stop action the whole weekend!

Come and support PIR and the racing community and bring your Porsche to the Oregon PCA Corral. Your $90 Car Corral registration fee includes two 3-day admission tickets, special parking and a parade lap on Saturday or Sunday. The car corrals will be located near the chicane grandstands on the inside of the track. Make sure you include the Oregon PCA club name when you register.
Note: Corral passes are NOT available at the track.

Porsche Corral at the 2018 Portland Vintage Racing Festival

The 2018 Portland Vintage Racing Festival is scheduled for July 26-29 at Portland International Raceway. The Oregon PCA will host a corral on Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29. Come on out and enjoy the fabulous cars!

Portland International Raceway offers a challenging, 12-turn, 1.967 mile track that resonates with vintage racers. This festival event showcases cars from some of the most historically significant race series in the world. The Trans Am Series will be making new history at this event.

To register for the Oregon PCA corral, go to: Portland Vintage Racing. Click on Red Box labeled "Car Show Registration". Then fill in the information requested. Make sure you put in Oregon PCA as the Club.

Each $45.00 Car Show registration includes:

Save the date to join us at PIR to celebrate our Porsches. We'd like to get a great mix of cars out to enjoy this fun day and show the other German car people how passionate we are about our cars! This event also includes some great German Food and beer for sale!

WHAT: A festival celebrating German brand automobiles! Expanding the Rose City Bug In to include all Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Porsche vehicles, their enthusiasts and car club members! Car show, swap meet, 1/2 track day and drag racing too!

ORPCA Summer Tour and Picnic – SOLD OUT

August 12 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Please join us on Sunday, August 12th for what is sure to be another great ORPCA picnic! Our Summer Tour & Picnic starts off Sunday morning at 11100 SW Murray Scholls Place (24 hour fitness parking lot in Beaverton). The scenery is always beautiful, and the company always grand! Please be at the meeting place no later than 9am as the driving tour leaves promptly at 9:30 am.
The driving tour will wind its way through some great Washington & Yamhill County rural roads (all paved!) and end at a beautiful winery in the Dundee Hills. We’ll have another exceptional catered gourmet lunch with tastings of Estate-Grown Pinot Noir, Rosé, Chardonnay. Cost is $38 per person - wine tasting plus wine with lunch is included in the price.
