Midsummer, Midweek Hoodland Scenic Tour – Registration is Closed

August 28 @ 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Join us on Tuesday August 28th for a midsummer, midweek Hoodland Scenic Tour with Lunch at Timberline Lodge.

Come cruise with us on roads less traveled! We will wind our way past Estacada, thru the Mt. Hood National Forest to Timberline Lodge for lunch and proceed back down the mountain, ending our drive at Lewis and Clark State Park near Troutdale. The views are spectacular and the roads intriguing and challenging. The camaraderie will be superb as always.

We meet in Oregon City at 8:30 and following a participants meeting, begin our tour at 9:00. After navigating backcountry roads we arrive at Timberline where we all park together in a designated area for our Porsches. After walking up to the Lodge we will enjoy “A Taste of Oregon” lunch buffet. After lunch and a photo op or two we will cruise back down the mountain abandoning US 26 ASAP and arrive at Lewis and Clark State Park by about 4:00 P.M.

The cost is $36 per person, which includes lunch and gratuity and a group parking area in the Timberline lodge parking lot. Registration is now closed.

Please Note: There will be a section of gravel road about 200 feet long past a collapsed section of road and about five miles on an old paved road that has been neglected with half a dozen potholes to be avoided.

Arrive and Drive – Saturday, September 8

September 8 @ 8:45 am - 2:00 pm

The 2018 Arrive and Drives continue on Saturday, September 8 (with the last Arrive and Drive of 2018 being the 7th Annual Sausage Run on October 13th).

Enjoy some of the best driving roads in the five-county area. Each drive is roughly 60 to 100 miles in length and finishes in under three hours (unless otherwise noted). You have an option to join the group for lunch. These are a great way to kick off the weekend and a fun way for new members to get acquainted with ORPCA.

To attend, bring your favorite Porsche (with plenty of fuel) and ideally, a navigator, to our start location behind Shari's Restaurant at 9730 N Whitaker Rd. Portland, OR 97217, no later than 8:45am. Driver’s meeting takes place at 9:00am. With an average of 40 to 50 cars, we often try to break into smaller groups rather than doing one long convoy. The first group of cars will depart at around 9:15am.

THIS IS A NO FEE EVENT

Club contact: Gary Feldmann at tours@oregonpca.org

NOTES: Important information about liability waivers

Porsche Club of America has an insurance program that covers both the club and the participants for events such as this one.  In order for this coverage to be in force all participants, drivers and passengers must sign the Release and Waiver of Liability form that will be available at the event. For those who bring a minor/or minors (younger than 18 years old) in the vehicle with you, a different waiver is required. The form, WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT FOR MINORS AS OBSERVERS will also be available at the event. This form requires the signature of a parent or guardian, as well as the participant.

The Waiver Form for Minors as Observers may be signed by the parents/guardians away from the actual event site and presented to an ORPCA official at the event, however the participant MUST sign it in front of an event official.  Go to: Minor Waiver Form - Observers and print this out in color as there are highlights in red. Have the parents/Guardians sign it before coming to the event.
