Millerdale 356 Tech Session: Tips on Making Your 356 More Reliable and Fun to Drive

October 7 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Come join the Oregon members of the Porsche 356 Registry NW for an afternoon tech session
entitled: Tips on making your 356 more reliable and fun to drive. The Tech Session will be
presented by a variety of 356 Registry members who will offer their perspective on how to keep your 356 on the road. The session will be interactive will include time for questions and answers.
The event is scheduled for 11:00am to 3:00pm, Saturday, October 7th. Millerdale is located at 13493 S Carus Rd, Oregon City, Oregon 97045.
Lunch and beverages will be served following the tech session. This is your chance to network and meet fellow Porsche enthusiasts.

Arrive and Drive – 6th Annual Sausage Run – October 14

October 14 @ 8:45 am - 2:00 pm

The 6th Annual Sausage Run with lunch in Mt. Angel will happen on Saturday, October 14. This is the last of our Arrive and Drives for 2017.

To attend, bring your favorite Porsche (with plenty of fuel) and ideally, a navigator to our start location - The End of The Oregon Trail Museum, 1726 Washington St, Oregon City, OR. Arrive no later than 8:45am, the driver's meeting takes place at 9:00am. With an average of 40 to 50 cars, we often try to break into smaller groups rather than doing one long convoy. The first group of cars will depart at around 9:15am.

NOTES: Important information about liability waivers
Please note that the Porsche Club of America has an insurance program that covers driving events (excluding racing), both for the club and the participants. In order for this coverage to be in effect, all participants, drivers and passengers, must sign the Release and Waiver of Liability form that will be available at each event. Please make sure you do this before leaving the start location.

Midweek Casual Drive – October

October 17 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

In October, we will leave from Lewis & Clark State Recreation Area in Troutdale. The Park is south of I-84 at Exit 18. We will meet at 9:30 and depart promptly at 10:00 (note that is a new time). There are restroom facilities at the park. The casual drive will go through the hills, over rivers and through picturesque farm land to conclude at a lunch stop in Welches, Oregon. We go rain or shine. Navigator not required.

Social and Dinner – October

The October Social and Dinner will be held at Chevys - Fresh Mex

Social hour: 6:00-7:00
Dinner: 7:00-8:00

We will have a Fajitas Buffet with steak or chicken. The buffet includes Cheddar cheese enchiladas, San Antonio veggies, mixed green salad, homemade beans, fresh mex rice, sweet corn tamalito, fresh fruit, flour tortillas, cotija ceese, roasted corn salsa, sour cream and pico de gallo. Also includes are chips/salsa, brownies for dessert, choice of soda, lemonade, ice tea or coffee.

There is room for about 50 people.
Cost is $29 per person. Please bring cash to pay at the door.

Sam Barlow Homecoming Court Escorts

These are needed to escort each of the homecoming princesses onto the football field during the halftime program.

Autocross #8

October 22 @ 7:30 am - 2:30 pm

Join us for Autocross #8 on October 22, 2017 in the North Paddock of Portland International Raceway. See the section "Access to the North Paddock" below for directions.

Event Fees: For ORPCA/PCA members the cost is $35.00. For non-members the cost is $40.00.

Registration: Autocross team has selected Motorsportsreg.com for the registration tool this year. There is no walk up registration. Please register and pay at Autocross #8 Registration on Motorsportsreg. Note: Participation is limited to 60 drivers.

All drivers must go to Onsite Check-in at the time of arrival at the paddock for car number verification, run group and work assignment. Onsite Check-in is open from 7:30am to 8:30am. Instructors and loaner helmets are available for new drivers.

Once you have checked in and the course is complete, you can walk the course. At 8:30am there is a mandatory Drivers meeting.

Access to the North Paddock: Go in the PIR main entrance and head to the South Paddock. Then follow the PCA autocross signs to the North Paddock. Please click here for a map of the entry route: North paddock entrance - NEW

2017 Autocross Awards Banquet

October 29 @ 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm

The annual autocross awards banquet will be held on Sunday, October 29th - one week after our final autocross #8. We welcome all competitors, Porsche or Non-Porsche, and friends.
The awards banquet location is:

Social time 4:30pm – 5:00pm Dinner/Awards 5:00pm – 7:00pm

We will have door prizes, an awards presentation for all of the ORPCA AX classes and a catered Italian Buffet dinner. There is a nominal fee of $15 to register and attend and a a limit of 45 people, so don’t delay.

2017 Holiday Party

Registration is now open for the 2017 Holiday Party! This is always a favorite of our members!

We will return to the Riverside Golf and Country Club, the same location as last year.
