The October Midweek Drive is planned for October 23, 2024. We have 2 opportunities depending on the weather. No matter which one we do, we will meet in Scappoose, Oregon, at 9:00 am. The participant's meeting is at 9:15 am and the first group will leave at 9:30. We will start with 2 groups of 10 cars and add a waitlist in case it fills. Please join our October 26 SUV Drive which is being organized by Bob Ellis. We will start in Hillsboro and travel north over the hills of Helvetia to our first rest stop at the Scapoose Veterans Park. Proceeding onward we will traverse some rarely driven back roads, past farms, and scenic forested areas before joining the Scapoose Vernonia Hwy. We then continue north on the Nehalem Hwy 47 to Mist where we turn towards Clatskanie and enjoy 12 miles of fabulous Porsche twisties. Event Description: Join us for a late season drive before your baby goes into winter hibernation. The drive is a low altitude route designed for cool and wet weather; the maximum altitude is 450 feet. But if we happen to get sunshine and warmer temps, we will take that as well! The route starts at the Fred Meyer in Hillsboro. From there we meander on back roads to Cornelius, then on to Blooming, Midway, Scholls and Sherwood. Registration can be any combination of the event: pre-museum drive, museum visit, and dinner. Event Description: Goose lights galore!
