2019 October SUV Group Tour – SUVs and Schnitzels

Summary:

The drive starts in Oregon City, from there to Redwoods, Viola and Estacada. At Estecada we start the drive on Hwy 224 along the beautiful Clackamas River, after a rest stop at the Ripplebrook Ranger Station we continue on NF-46 to Breitenbush and then reach Detroit Lake for a second rest stop at the Ranger Station. The final leg of the tour leads us to Salem and on to Keizer where we end the drive at the Bargarten Restaurant for greta German food.

2019 October Casual Midweek Drive Mt. Hood

Summary:

The drive starts at the Lewis & Clark Recreation Area in Troutdale on the west side of Mount Hood. We drive along the Sandy River on the Old Columbia Highway, then wind our way over to Hwy 26 for a rest stop in Government Camp on the south side of Mount Hood. We then leave toward Hood River and soon turn onto a narrow National Forest Road for a wide loop that leads us back to Hwy 26, which we then follow down to Welches for Lunch at the Rendezvous Grill.

Summary:

The drive starts at Parking Lot of the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum. The first leg of the tour leads us into the Eola Hills are, through Amity to Sheridan and then back to McMinnville for a rest stop at the Discovery Meadows Community Park. From there we head north on backroads to Yamhill, and in a wide double loop through the wine country back to McMinnville for lunch at Mazatlan.

Start at the Lewis and Clark State Recreation Site in Troutdale, take I84 to exit 44 towards Stevenson. Cross the Columbia River over the Bridge of Gods, take WA-14 towards Stevenson to Wind River Hwy to the first stop at McClellan View Point. From there take NF-90, NF-25 and NF-99 to Mt.
