June 2019

Autocross #4 – SOLD OUT

Autocross #4 will be held Sunday, June 16, 2019 in the South Paddock of Portland International Raceway. See the section "Access to the South Paddock" below for directions to this area.

Event Fees: For ORPCA/PCA members the cost is $40.00. For non-members the cost is $45.00.

Registration: This event is sold out.  Note: Participation is limited to 60 drivers.

All drivers must go to Onsite Check-in at the time of arrival at the paddock for car number verification, run group and work assignment. Onsite Check-in opens at 7:30am. Instructors and loaner helmets are available for new drivers.

Once you have checked in and the course is complete, you can walk the course. The course is open for walking when the design committee releases it; generally around 8:00am.

At 8:45am there is a mandatory Drivers meeting and the first car runs at 9:00am.

Taste of Motorsports

Hosted by ORPCA members, Tom and Stephanie Floyd, the 2nd Annual Taste of Motorsports Festival is a private opportunity to experience the latest high performance vehicle offerings from the best in the automotive industry. Top brands like Ferrari, Mercedes/AMG, Porsche, Audi and BMW will be on-site to showcase their very best cars. Depending on the ticket you purchase you can drive your own car on the track or take a ride around the track in one of the dealers cars.  

The Taste of Motorsports is dedicated to bringing together the best of two worlds, a delicious selection of gourmet cuisine inspired by the Pacific Northwest, and the enjoyment of beautiful and exciting automobiles. Featuring a menu prepared by Executive Chef Dale Moore, The Taste of Motorsports will offer a pre-drive breakfast, mid-day lunch and end of day appetizers for all Drivers and VIP ticket holders. 

For 2019,  a world class Concours d'Elegance featuring exotic cars from private collections throughout the region has been added. 

There are 5 levels of tickets you can purchase from VIP options that include food:  Drive on the track, Demo experience, Display your vehicle as part of the Concours d'Elegance or Guest VIP.  There is also a Guest pass with no food included. 

Tom and Stephanie are offering the ORPCA a discount on your tickets.   Use the promotional code ORPCA when you register and you will receive 15% off the price of the ticket (click on promotional code at top right when you first go into the tickets options).  They are also offering us an ORPCA car corral for 6-8 unique Porsches from our members.   If you are interested in having your car in the car corral, please contact Tom Floyd at tgfloyd@comcast.net with your name, model, year, and photo of your car, along with any history of the car that you would like to share.   He will pick the cars for the corral.

Rose Cup Races Featuring the GT World Challenge – Porsche Corral

The 59th Annual Rose Cup Races featuring Blancpain GT World Challenge America heads for to Portland International Raceway (PIR). The Blancpain GT World Challenge America is the premier destination for GT3 racing in North America. It features two-driver, 90-minute SprintX style format. The GT World Challenge series includes six-hours of racing that features two races per weekend in a friendly paddock atmosphere.

Come and support PIR and the racing community and bring your Porsche to the Oregon PCA Corral. Your $90 Car Corral registration fee includes two 3-day admission tickets, special parking and a parade lap on Saturday or Sunday. Make sure you include the Oregon PCA club name when you register.

Porsche Corral at the 2019 Portland Vintage Racing Festival

The 2019 Portland Vintage Racing Festival is scheduled for July 25-28 at Portland International Raceway. The Oregon PCA will host a corral on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28. Come on out and enjoy the fabulous cars!

Portland International Raceway offers a challenging, 12-turn, 1.967 mile track that resonates with vintage racers. Vintage race cars will challenge the Portland International Raceway road course during SVRA’s annual Portland Vintage Racing Festival. The weekend offers race groups for all SVRA classes. Prototype, formula cars, sports racing and production/GT cars from marques such as Lotus, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Porsche and Corvette, principally from the 1950s, through the 1980s, will converge on the track for sage and fun vintage racing. The weekend also includes a round of the Trans-Am West Coast Championship Series. A weekend Hagerty Show and Shine car show near the paddock offers show entrants the opportunity to participate in track laps at the end of the day.

Germanpalooza 2019 – Portland International Raceway

Last year's inaugural Germanpalooza event was a big success! Join us again this year at PIR to celebrate our Porsches. We'd like to get a great mix of cars out to enjoy this fun day and show the other German car people how passionate we are about our cars! Bring your friends and enjoy some great German food and beer provided by Urban German.

WHAT: A festival celebrating German brand automobiles! This second annual Germanpalooza event expands the former Rose City Bug In to include all Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Porsche vehicles, their enthusiasts and car club members! Events for the car include a Car Show with People's Choice Award, Swap Meet, 1/2 day Track/HPDE and 1/2 day Drag Racing! We'd like to get a great mix of cars out to enjoy this fun day and show the other German car people how passionate we are about our cars!

2019 Grand Prix of Portland

After an exceptional return to Portland International Raceway (PIR) in 2018, IndyCar racing comes back to the Pacific Northwest for the Grand Prix of Portland over Labor Day weekend, August 30-September 1, 2019.

If you attended the 2018 Grand Prix, you can renew your tickets now for the 2019 event. Public sales will begin on December 13.

Why Renew?

Renewing your seat gives you the ability to lock in the same location that you sat in for the 2018 Grand Prix of Portland, maintaining your preferred vantage point. If you do not renew your seat during the renewal period it will be released for public sale.
