Driver’s Skills Clinic

Our annual Driver's Skills Clinic is offered on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in the North Paddock of Portland International Raceway (PIR) - See directions below. Please arrive by 7:30am.

Using your own car, drivers will receive instruction about driving and car handling techniques from basic to advanced that will be useful for safety, daily driving and autocross competition. Loaner helmets are available. The cost is $80.00 and is limited to 30 drivers. There will be a wait list if we fill up. Registration will include lunch and free entry into the afternoon “Test and Tune” from 1:00pm-5:00pm which is a sample autocross course. For more information on the Test and Tune please go to: Test and Tune. For those attending, you will also be able to apply your newly acquired skills the following morning, Sunday, March 31, if you register for Autocross #1.

Schedule:

Students should arrive at 7:30am for Tech inspection.

Class is from 8:15am-9:00am

Driving instruction is 9:00am-12:00pm

Lunch break 12:00pm-1:00pm

Test and Tune from 1:00pm-5:00pm

We recommend that students purchase and read Secrets of Solo Racing by Watts prior to the class.

Autocross Test and Tune

Join us for Autocross Test and Tune in the North Paddock of Portland International Raceway (PIR), from 1:00pm-5:00pm (please arrive by Noon).

The Test and Tune offers Driver Skills Clinic participants an opportunity to experience a real autocross. Other drivers can warm up and get a little seat time before the season starts on Sunday. Drivers can also try out their cars with any new equipment or adjustments they may have made to their cars over the winter. There will also be an opportunity for participants to have an annual tech performed on their cars.

The fee is $30 for all attendees (Note: This is included for the Driver Skills Clinic participants.) There will be a cap of 60 participants. Please arrive by Noon.

Autocross #2 AND #3 Double Header

Autocross #2 and #3 will be held the same day (Sunday, May 5, 2019 in the South Paddock of Portland International Raceway), featured as a double-header.  We were unable to secure a date in April due to other conflicting events at PIR.  The good news is, if you sign up for autocross #2, you will get a 50% discount on AX#3, the same afternoon.  Additionally, a catered lunch will be provided to all participants registered for the full day's activities.

Event Fees: For ORPCA/PCA members the cost is $40.00 for AX#2. For non-members the cost is $45.00. (If you sign up for AX#2 and AX#3, the total cost is $60 for members and $70 for non-members.)

Taste of Motorsports

The second annual Taste of Motorsports Festival (https://www.tasteofmotorsports.com/)  is an exclusive, limited space, Track Day and Car Display with a lavish nod to the foodie spirit of the region – guaranteed to attract an elite community of Collectors and Drivers who’ve been waiting for such an event to finally launch in the Pacific Northwest.
Drivers will savor a stunning assortment of the best gourmet food and drink that Oregon has to offer. In our first year, entries will be limited to 70 cars providing a private atmosphere for those who enjoy a rarefied lifestyle and understand their passion for luxury automobiles.

There are 3 options for tickets to purchase:  Drive on the track, Show/display your vehicle or Guest (just join to see all the fun!).   All ticket prices are all inclusive of food and drink (Full menu is up on the website). ORPCA members, Tom and Stephanie Floyd, are the hosts for this event.

The 59th Annual Rose Cup Races featuring the Pirelli World Challenge! Professional Road Racing returns to Portland International Raceway (PIR) with North America's top GT production based sports car series!

Non-stop action the whole weekend!

Come and support PIR and the racing community and bring your Porsche to the Oregon PCA Corral. Your $90 Car Corral registration fee includes two 3-day admission tickets, special parking and a parade lap on Saturday or Sunday. Make sure you include the Oregon PCA club name when you register.

Porsche Corral at the 2019 Portland Vintage Racing Festival

The 2019 Portland Vintage Racing Festival is scheduled for July 25-28 at Portland International Raceway. The Oregon PCA will host a corral on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28. Come on out and enjoy the fabulous cars!

Portland International Raceway offers a challenging, 12-turn, 1.967 mile track that resonates with vintage racers. Vintage race cars will challenge the Portland International Raceway road course during SVRA’s annual Portland Vintage Racing Festival. The weekend offers race groups for all SVRA classes. Prototype, formula cars, sports racing and production/GT cars from marques such as Lotus, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Porsche and Corvette, principally from the 1950s, through the 1980s, will converge on the track for sage and fun vintage racing. The weekend also includes a round of the Trans-Am West Coast Championship Series. A weekend Hagerty Show and Shine car show near the paddock offers show entrants the opportunity to participate in track laps at the end of the day.

Germanpalooza 2019 – Portland International Raceway

Last year's inaugural Germanpalooza event was a big success! Join us again this year at PIR to celebrate our Porsches. We'd like to get a great mix of cars out to enjoy this fun day and show the other German car people how passionate we are about our cars! Bring your friends and enjoy some great German food and beer provided by Urban German.

WHAT: A festival celebrating German brand automobiles! This second annual Germanpalooza event expands the former Rose City Bug In to include all Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Porsche vehicles, their enthusiasts and car club members! Events for the car include a Car Show with People's Choice Award, Swap Meet, 1/2 day Track/HPDE and 1/2 day Drag Racing! We'd like to get a great mix of cars out to enjoy this fun day and show the other German car people how passionate we are about our cars!

2019 Grand Prix of Portland

After an exceptional return to Portland International Raceway (PIR) in 2018, IndyCar racing comes back to the Pacific Northwest for the Grand Prix of Portland over Labor Day weekend, August 30-September 1, 2019.

Why Renew?

Renewing your seat gives you the ability to lock in the same location that you sat in for the 2018 Grand Prix of Portland, maintaining your preferred vantage point. If you do not renew your seat during the renewal period it will be released for public sale.
