October Midweek Drive

The October Midweek Drive is planned for October 23, 2024. We have 2 opportunities depending on the weather.  No matter which one we do, we will meet in Scappoose, Oregon, at 9:00 am.  The participant’s meeting is at 9:15 am and the first group will leave at 9:30.  We will start with 2 groups of 10 cars and add a waitlist in case it fills. The drive will take us up Highway 30 to the Longview Bridge and then towards Castle Rock and the Mount St. Helen’s Highway to the Coldwater Ridge Visitor’s Center, stopping along the way at stunning waysides for views of our local Volcano.  We will plan on a picnic lunch before returning home on your own.
If the weather is cold and there is the possibility of snow, we will head to Astoria along Highway 47, to Jewel, and then route 202 to Astoria for lunch at the Bridgewater Bistro. You will be notified ahead of time as to which destination we are headed to.

Registration is open. Volunteers are needed for Leads and Sweeps. Please volunteer when you register, if you are able and willing to accept the responsibilities.

General information about this event:

• The “Release and Waiver of Liability” will be available to sign at the start of the drive.
• Registration is by car. Each driver must register their car. If you have a navigator, you will register that person at the same time. If you don’t have a navigator, just mark the navigator question as N/A.
• The start location and a printable PDF file of Printed Route Directions and Scenic Navigation App Access will be provided a day before the event to all registrants. Please check your Spam folder if you do not see an email with the directions within 24 hours of the event.
• Since this is a registration only event, please do not share this information with anyone else.
